A woman who goes by Ravenmonique made the decision to walk away from an abusive relationship and has since been living out of her car, documenting every detail of her new reality for an online audience.

In a video posted on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, Ravenmonique gave viewers an unfiltered look at how she has organised her car to function as a home, covering everything from her sleeping arrangement to where she stores her underwear and personal tools.

Sleep, she explained, was one of the first challenges she had to solve. She uses a foam mattress layered over a wooden platform board, a piece she originally purchased for a platform bed.

Without it, she said, the slope created by the folded-down front seat made sleeping deeply uncomfortable, her back sinking into the uneven surface.

The board levels things out enough to make rest possible, even if it eats into her storage space.

A twin-size fitted sheet covers the foam, though she acknowledged it is far larger than the mattress itself.

She simply tucks the excess in and makes it work. Power is a persistent frustration.

Her portable power station from FlashFish can charge phones and run a UV nail lamp, but it cannot handle a kettle, a hair dryer, or a rice cooker.

How long does a Ryobi fan last?

“I want to make rice. Like, that’s all I really want to make is some rice in here,” she said, half-laughing at the simplicity of the wish.

Her Ryobi fan, is supposed to last seven hours on a full charge but cuts out after three to four, meaning she often wakes up overheated in the middle of the night.

A small rechargeable lamp from Five Below has proven more reliable for her needs.

Ravenmonique eats mango in car

For food, she ate a ripe mango directly off the fruit, without cutlery or running water to wash her hands, using wipes to clean up afterwards.

“This is getting real messy,” she said, laughing through the moment before admitting the mango was delicious.

Despite the laughter, the weight of her situation surfaced. “God, this is a lot just to do the basic stuff,” she said quietly between bites.

Reavenmonique does her nails in car

Ravenmonique said she remains focused on staying organised, maintaining her personal health routine and keeping her living space functional.

She did her nails during the video, tested her car vacuum, and laid out plans for future improvements to her setup.

Her story has drawn attention not because of any single dramatic moment, but because of the quiet, methodical way she is rebuilding her life, one small solution at a time.
