The clip, shared on TikTok by @nyokabi330, has since gone viral, with thousands of Kenyans weighing in on the messy intersection of a broken marriage and a shared business.
“Sarah has been the mother of my children, and I respect that. Si ati tumeachana…we do not have to pakana matope. We are no longer husband and wife, staki unipende, staki nikupende. Let us be civil na tuendelee na maisha. You wanted tuwachane, tumeachana, divorce ikatokea, tukapewa divorce. What else do you want?” he said.
Salary dispute overshadows the interview
The on-air exchange took a sharp turn when the radio host pressed Kabu on allegations that staff at their joint travel company had gone without pay for several months.
Rather than deny the claims outright, Kabu threatened to go public with receipts of his own, insisting he had personally covered salaries with his own money while cheques from the company had been cancelled.
“Can I post the salaries online as per last month? Can I post that online?” he challenged, clearly rattled by the line of questioning.
He stopped short of naming Sarah directly in the salary row but made it plain that he felt the financial blame was being misdirected.
Sarah, for her part, sat visibly composed throughout the segment, a detail that did not go unnoticed online.

Did Kabu threaten to sue Sarah?
Kabu closed his portion of the interview by vowing he would never drag Sarah through social media mudslinging, saying he would only discuss her publicly as the mother of his children.
He also hinted that he had declined interview requests for over two and a half years, warning that if he ever did sit down for one, the revelations would be significant.
