Eric Omondi has publicly addressed claims by viral internet sensation Henry Omondi, the teenager widely known as the “JKIA Boy,” who had accused the comedian of abandoning him and refusing to pay his school fees.

‎In a TikTok video posted on October 7, 2026, Eric made it clear that Henry had left school on his own terms not once, not twice, but three times, and that he had personally worked to bring the boy back each time.

‎What actually happened with JKIA Boy Henry?

‎The clip features footage filmed at the school compound alongside a separate seated interview with the school’s principal, identified on screen as Principal Ndere TVET.

‎The principal confirmed that Henry was admitted on 2nd September 2024 and was provided with everything, including food, from the moment he enrolled.

‎”Henry was never sent out of the school by the school. Henry left on his own way. He decided to leave,” the principal stated.

‎

‎He recalled how the school’s watchman once spotted Henry at the gate attempting to leave, and when the guard tried to bring him back, the boy bolted towards a nearby river before being retrieved and returned to the office.

‎The principal also revealed that Henry had, on at least one occasion, agreed to return and even graduate in March, only to disappear again.

‎”I met him to see and he also prayed that he was coming back to school,” the principal said.

‎Eric directed pointed words at people in Henry’s community, warning them not to hand him pocket money whenever they spotted him loitering in town.

‎His frustration was visible as he noted that every time Henry showed up near Genesis or elsewhere in town, locals would give him cash, making it easier for the teenager to stay away from school.

‎Kenyans react to Eric’s side of the story

‎The video sparked a wave of responses online, with many Kenyans siding with Eric and urging Henry to take the opportunity seriously.

‎Here are some of the reactions from social media users:
