Jane Murimi’s diagnosis For years, she had quietly endured the kind of debilitating pain that made ordinary daily life a struggle, all while continuing to show up for others.

“I was strong for others, dancing rhumba but deep down I knew the battles I was fighting,” Jane wrote in her post, offering a striking picture of how completely she had shielded those around her from her suffering.

The diagnosis only came after a pelvic scan and MRI finally gave doctors enough information to identify what had been causing her pain.

What challenges does Jane Murimi faces after surgery?

Speaking to TUKO, Jane said the lead-up to surgery was physically gruelling.

Jane Murimi opens up about healing journey

For a teacher whose identity is tied to her students, the forced absence weighed heavily on her.

Coming through the operating theatre safely was, in Jane’s own words, a huge win. And despite the scale of what she had lost physically, she drew comfort from something immediate and undeniable.

“Apart from the wound pain, the pelvic and lower back pain completely gone,” she told TUKO.co.ke. “My uterus and cervix may have been removed completely but my peace of mind free of pain is maintained. That’s what encourages me.”

Jane Murimi anchors her faith in God

The mother of two acknowledged that the recovery road ahead remains demanding, writing that healing is a journey and that being bedridden with limited movement is far from easy.

Still, her post carried a tone of quiet resolve rather than despair, anchored in faith.

“God has never abandoned me,” she wrote, thanking everyone who had reached out with prayers and emotional support during a period she described as deeply personal and largely hidden from public view.
