Pilot and content creator Khalif Kairo gave his followers something to talk about on Saturday, October 24, when he posted a video of his young son conducting a pre-flight check on a plane.

In the clip, the boy can be seen standing on the wing of the aircraft as his father walks him through the inspection process, step by step.

Far from being overwhelmed, the child held his own throughout. Watch Khalif Kairo’s son inspect plane Kairo opened the session with a simple prompt:

“Pre-flight the plane. Where do we start?” His son immediately answered that the first step was measuring the oil.

The boy reached for the dipstick at the front of the plane, but it was too high for him to access on his own.

After some assistance, he read the level confidently.

“Near nine quarts,” he said.

Kairo corrected him, saying:

“It’s a little below nine, so it’s around eight. It is safe. For this plane we operate between seven and nine.”

Kairo then guided him to inspect the control surfaces of the aircraft. For the final step, the boy picked up a specialised tool and drew a fuel sample from beneath the wing, checking for water contamination.

“There is no water in the fuel,” the boy declared, prompting Kairo to explain the standard: “It should always be colour blue.”

The video clearly struck a chord online, with many viewers floored by just how composed and knowledgeable the child appeared.
