Pastor Kanyari’s daughter, popularly known as Siz wa Sky, stepped into the ongoing custody debate on TikTok on October 27, 2026, sharing her personal thoughts after followers repeatedly asked where she stood on the matter.
The video comes in the wake of a court ruling that granted Kanyari custody of Sky and Danny, the two children he fathered with the late Betty Bayo, who passed away in November 2025.
Following the ruling, both Sky and Danny publicly stated they did not wish to live with their biological father and instead wanted to remain with Hiram Gitau, known as Tash, the man their mother had been married to before her death.
Siz wa Sky defends the grieving children
Recording in a warm, selfie-style indoor video with an on-screen caption reading “I Stand with Sky,” Siz wa Sky was direct about where she stands.
She told her followers her opinion is that Sky and Danny are “bado hawajaheal,” meaning they are still in the healing process.
She pointed out that the siblings are still deep in mourning, having lost both Betty and Tash from their lives.
“Betty is not there, Tash is not there, and wamegrow up na wao,” she noted, emphasising how central those two figures were to the children’s upbringing.
She appealed to people to give Sky and Danny time to grieve properly and reach their own decisions about where they want to be.
Siz wa Sky also pushed back on those labelling Sky as rude for speaking out.
“When wanasema Sky is rude, I feel that she’s not rude, she’s just speaking out her mind,” she said, urging her audience not to silence a child who is simply expressing what she witnessed and how she feels.
Children are always watching
One of the more pointed observations Siz wa Sky made was about parenting itself. She reminded her followers that children are far more perceptive than adults often assume, noting that how a man treats his wife is precisely how his children will come to know and judge him.
She acknowledged Kanyari’s role as the biological father but made clear that emotional history matters just as much as legal decisions.
