Stivo Simple Boy’s former manager Machabe has broken his silence over claims that he could be the father of Brenda’s son, and he is not taking the matter lightly.

In an interview by MBC TV Kenya, Machabe addressed the paternity allegations with a mix of humour and firm conditions.

The clip, posted on TikTok by MBC TV Kenya, has been drawing widespread attention online.

How the paternity controversy started

Brenda, the ex-girlfriend of popular Kenyan musician Stivo Simple Boy, has a young son whose paternity became a public talking point.

Stivo initially came under scrutiny over the child, but a DNA test cleared him of fatherhood.

After Brenda gave a recent interview, a new wave of speculation pointed fingers at Machabe, prompting him to address the claims directly.

Machabe’s 10 million condition

Speaking in a playful but pointed tone during the interview, Machabe made it clear he would not simply walk into any DNA clinic on demand.

When the interviewer asked whether he was ready to take a DNA test, Machabe fired back by first turning the tables, noting that the interviewer had initially floated an offer of one million shillings.

“Toa 10 million na twende DNA ya kwenye unataka,” he declared, essentially telling the interviewer that he needed to put up 10 million shillings before any test would happen.

When pressed on whether he could afford the figure, Machabe was unapologetic about his earnings, stating that he makes below five million shillings per month but insisting the 10 million demand was non-negotiable.

“Machabe makes KSh 5 million, not below,” he said at one point in the exchange.

He maintained that his plate was already full with various business ventures, suggesting the demand was less about the money itself and more about making a point: that he would not be coerced into a DNA test simply because of rumours.

The lighthearted tone of the interview did not mask the seriousness of the allegations being addressed.

Machabe’s willingness to confront the claims publicly, while wrapping them in humour, has clearly resonated with Kenyan social media users.
