Kindiki, Machogu, Namwamba Top Performing CSs

Cabinet Secretaries Kithure Kindiki (Interior and Administration of National Government) Ezekiel Machogu (Education) and Ababu Namwamba (Youth Affairs, Sports and Arts) have been ranked as the best performing in a new study by Infotrak.

According to Infotrak’s senior field operations manager Johvine Wanyingo, the research conducted to ascertain which CS had performed best in their 100 days in office rated Kindiki at 27 per cent, Machogu 12 per cent and Namwamba at 8 per cent.

CSs Susan Nakhumicha (Health), Mithika Linturi (Agriculture), Alfred Mutua (Foreign and Diaspora Affairs) and Kipchumba Murkomen (Roads, Transport and Public Works)  tied at 5 and 4 per cent respectively.

Those ranked the least in the study are CSs Salim Mvurya (Mining) at 0.2 per cent, Florence Bore (Labor and Social protection) 0.2 per cent, Rebecca Miano (East African Community) 0.3 per cent and Soipan Tuya (Environment) at 0.4 per cent.

Overall, the study indicated that all the 22 ministries performed below average after scoring 45 per cent, an equivalent of D plain.

According to Infotrak, a total of 2,149 respondents were interviewed through a computer assisted telephonic interview.

The research was conducted between February 21 st and 24th 2023.
