A family in Sang’oro, West Nyakach ward, Nyakach sub-county, is overjoyed after being reunited with relatives who went missing in Uganda in 1965.
Pictures of Mzee John Odhiambo Anudo circulated on social media platforms from Ugandans who wanted to reconnect him with his family.
Then, West Nyakach MCA James Omoko volunteered to assist in locating the elderly man via the Kenya embassy.
Mr. Omoko claims he took the initiative to ensure Mr. Anudo was returned home and reunited with his family.
Omollo claims that with the help of elders, they tracked down his family in Nyakach and planned how to bring him home.
His family members were overjoyed when he returned home after more than 58 years, but they asked for help in reestablishing his livelihood.
