Juventus have been handed a deduction of 10 points in Serie A after the verdict from the Federal Court of Appeal following their recent financial scandal.

As it stands, Juventus are now 7th position in the Serie A table and have fallen outside of a European spot.

Juventus incurred a deduction of 10 Serie A points following the verdict by the Federal Court of Appeal pertaining to the capital gains scandal.

The point deduction took place before Juventus’ Serie A clash against Empoli on Monday night.

Juventus director Francesco Calvo spoke before the kickoff of Juventus’ tie with Empoli regarding the latest points penalty.

Calvo said, “We are not satisfied with the -10 points penalty. We will see if there is room for appeal. We are fighting against everyone and everything this year.”
