Traffic officer dies after lorry rammed into a vehicle he was inspecting

A traffic police officer has died after a lorry rammed into a car he was inspecting along Outering road, Nairobi on Thursday morning.

The incident happened at Harmony area minutes after the officer stopped the said car and was checking its stickers.

Buru Buru sub-county police commander Francis Kamau said the officer died while being rushed to the hospital.

The police boss said the driver of the lorry which caused the accident has been arrested is helping police in further probe.

The body of the officer has been taken to the morgue and the two vehicles towed to Buru Buru police station.
