Mary Wanyonyi has been sworn in as the new chairperson of the Commission on Revenue Allocation (CRA).

Chief Justice Martha Koome on Monday morning administered the oath of office to Ms Wanyonyi, who becomes the third chairperson of the commission.

She will take over from Jane Kiringai, who retired in February 2023.

President Ruto appointed Ms Wanyonyi as CRA chairperson in May 2023, a position that was also contested by Thomas Ludindi Mwadeghu and Felicity Nkirote Biriri.

CRA’s mandate is to share revenue between National and County governments.
