A turn-boy is fighting for his life at Kenyatta National Hospital after being involved in a grisly accident at Iviani stage along Matuu – Mwingi, road 3 kilometres from Kithyoko Market early in the morning.

Mwinyi Mohammed, a sergeant based at the Nguutani police station, said the turn-boy identified as Ibrahim Zacharia was in a tanker transporting petrol from Nairobi heading to Garrisa when they rammed into another parked trailer.

Mwinyi added that the tanker driver said that the parked trailer’s indicators were not on and he got to notice it when he was near it and could not do anything.

“The petrol tanker driver said that he did not see the parked trailer. He explained that the indicators were not on leading him to hit it on the right side where the turn-boy was seated,” Mwinyi said.

The turn-boy was rushed to Matuu Level 4 for treatment but later referred to Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) for further specialized treatment.

“The turn-boy was critically injured and he was taken to Matuu Level 4 hospital for treatment,” Mwinyi said
