The national amputee football team started residential camp at Moi International Sports Center Kasarani yesterday.

Talking to People Sport yesterday, head coach Abdalla ‘ Viduka’ Otieno was in a jubilant mood and was optimistic of getting good results in Ghana.

“We have been training at Nairobi City Stadium for two weeks now and have to start a residential camp as we trim the squad down,” said Otieno.

A total of 25 players had been training prior to the camp at Kasarani where they have been joined by four professional players.

The four are led by Bomet County based captain Nicholas Keiyo, who plies his trade in Turkey for Etimesgut Belediyespor, together with midfielder Brian Oroka who’s contract with another Turkish club Eyyubiye has just ended, but is in the country ready to serve the national team.

Eyyubiye is also home for striker Mohammed Munga and midfielder Albert mwakenga and the two trained with the team on Tuesday at Nairobi City Stadium.
