Suspected mastermind of phone theft in Nairobi arrested

Detectives have arrested Jeremiah Mbugua, a man who operates a second-hand mobile shop at California house along Gaborone Street in Nairobi.

The man is suspected to be the mastermind behind theft of mobile phones in the city.

Mbugua was arrested following a raid at his shop where hundreds of stolen phones were found.

Software installation devices, external storage devices and universal flushing devise interface gadgets were also recovered in the raid.

The suspect is in custody awaiting further investigations.
