36-year-old Douglas Tendwa is in police custody for allegedly beating his 13-year-old son, Shadrach Luseno to death.

As per the report, Tendwa used a wooden cane to beat his son, after Luseno stole two chickens and disappeared from home for four days.

Following the incident which took place on November 26 at around 5 PM, the village chief reported that Luseno lost consciousness after the beating and was rushed to Shieywe Private Hospital in Khayega, where he was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Additionally, police officers and mortuary attendants noted multiple visible injuries and blood stains on Luseno’s body during their investigations.

The deceased’s body has been transferred to Mukumu Mission Hospital Mortuary, awaiting a postmortem examination.

Tendwa has since been arrested and remains in police custody, awaiting arraignment in court for the alleged crime.
