One suspect is in police custody after officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) recovered a lorry stolen from a garage in Karen, Nairobi.
According to DCI, 30-year-old Simam Mwangi was apprehended in Thika on Sunday and later led officers to a garage where the truck was being modified to conceal its original identity.

The lorry, which was stolen on April 1, was found to have been fitted with fake insurance and registration plates.

“Another set of registration plates no. KCT 446R was already being used on the vehicle,” said DCI.

Mwangi is set to be arraigned today, Monday, April 15.
