A suspect detained for possessing an endangered Pangolin, a protected wildlife species, now faces a five-year prison sentence or a Ksh.3 million fine.
Nicodemus Langat Kipgorola appeared before Kabarnet Principal Magistrate Caroline Ateya on Monday and was charged under the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act of 2013.
The prosecution had lined up four witnesses and, according to the DPP’s office, proved the case against the accused through exhibits and testimonies.
