Education Cabinet Secretary Julius Ogamba has assured the public that this year’s national examinations are secure, emphasizing that the government has implemented robust measures to prevent exam irregularities. Speaking during a tree-planting exercise at Siala Technical and Vocational Training Center in Rongo, Ogamba reiterated the ministry’s commitment to delivering a credible and fair examination process.

He warned that individuals involved in exam malpractice within the education sector would face severe consequences, including expulsion. “The security we have put in place this year is high-tech to minimize malpractices. If you are caught in any exam malpractice, the law will take its natural course, and there will be penalties, including being barred from operating in the education sector,” Ogamba stated.

The CS called on everyone involved in the education system to support the government’s efforts to ensure a credible examination process.

In addition to discussing exam security, Ogamba addressed the broader challenges affecting the education sector. He expressed disappointment that some individuals tasked with supporting the ministry’s initiatives have been critical, alleging that the education system is in decline. Ogamba stressed that all citizens have a responsibility to contribute positively to the education system, especially for the benefit of learners.
