NPS urges public cooperation
The NPS emphasised the importance of public participation in the fight against narcotics.
Members of the community are encouraged to provide timely information that can assist officers in preventing the circulation of illegal drugs.
“Intelligence-led operations are critical in disrupting the supply chain of narcotics. We urge members of the public to cooperate by sharing any information that could help curb drug-related crimes,” the statement reads in part.

Police say that arresting and prosecuting individuals involved in drug peddling is just one part of a broader crackdown aimed at keeping communities safe.
Efforts include regular patrols, tip-offs from residents, and close monitoring of known trafficking routes.
Authorities also reminded the public that the consequences of engaging in drug trafficking are severe.
Those apprehended risk prosecution, fines, and imprisonment, underscoring the NPS commitment to ensuring safety and security across the county.
Residents in Murang’a have welcomed the increased presence of police, hoping that the crackdown will deter others from engaging in the sale or distribution of illegal substances.
The NPS reiterated that community support is vital in achieving long-term success in the fight against drugs.
The arrested person of interest remains in police custody as investigations continue, with authorities planning swift legal proceedings to ensure justice is served.
