Dancehall musician KRG the Don has shown off wads of crisp Ksh1,000 notes and dismissed online rumours that he vanished from social media because he went broke.
Speaking in a video shared on his Instagram page on Thursday, November 27, 2025, the singer addressed the rumours directly, explaining why he had been quiet and assuring fans that his wealth and success remain intact.
“Young people, I see that you don’t understand that when someone is quiet, it often means they are focused on their work and their life, and they don’t want unnecessary noise,” KRG said.
KRG went on to criticise those who jump to conclusions whenever someone appears silent online.
He explained that whenever he chooses to stay quiet, it does not mean he is struggling financially, but rather that he is focused on his life and personal projects, and does not want unnecessary noise.
He told young people that speculating about someone’s finances while that person is concentrating on their own life is both ignorant and disrespectful.
“You start imagining things that aren’t true. I have told you, whenever you mention my name, never associate it with poverty. Let me correct your ignorance completely. I am a blessed person who cannot be written off. This money I have is real, it’s not tissue paper. Only a few people notice it because I stay quiet,” KRG added.

The musician then said that associating his name with poverty is inaccurate and insulting, and urged people to stop linking it to him.
He lamented that some people only start gossiping when he takes a break, assuming he is broke, but in reality, he is a blessed person whose success cannot be ignored.
“So, anytime you want to mention my name, don’t bring poverty into it. I am surprised that just because I stay quiet, you start talking nonsense, saying I’m broke. Stop linking poverty to my name and focus on your own life instead of other people’s business,” he said.
He also warned critics to focus on their own lives rather than judging or interfering in others’ affairs.
According to KRG, people’s opinions do not reflect his reality, and he reaffirmed that he was born rich and intends to die rich, insisting that no rumours will change that fact.
“Just because another man is organising his life, he is doing it for his family and children. Your opinions do not reflect my reality. I am still rich. I was born rich, and I will die rich,” KRG said in the video.
Miracle Baby’s shade
The singer’s statements came just a day after ‘Wamlambez’ hitmaker Miracle Baby said that KRG had treated him unfairly during a difficult period.
Miracle Baby said that while he was hospitalised and needed medical care, KRG had given him empty promises and made harsh remarks about him, leaving him frustrated and hurt.
“By the way, I was sitting down and remembered KRG. Btw, he nearly killed me while I was in the hospital with his empty words and harsh words. I had never seen a man put someone else down while they are at their lowest. He walked over me while I was already down, and even though I raised my hands, he kept on,” Miracle Baby said.

Miracle Baby recalled that while he was at his lowest point, KRG’s actions were insensitive, adding that he had to deal with both disappointment and physical pain at the same time.
He further reflected on the situation, stating that although he was frustrated, he eventually forgave KRG and reminded himself that God allows second chances.
“Anyway, God is true and came through. I forgave him and told God not to let such things happen in the future. Health is important because you don’t want problems there. Whoever shows me mercy should remind me that we belong to God, and He gives us another chance. Be a real man, bro,” Miracle Baby added.
