Content creator Lydia Wanjiru has weighed in on a disturbing viral video showing a woman being stripped, urging her to stop media interviews and take a legal path instead.
Speaking on the matter on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, Lydia said she felt the situation was being made worse by continued public appearances.
“I wish someone would advise this lady to stop being interviewed and just be quiet,” she said.
Lydia explained that the video was alarming and that the focus should now shift from public discussion to justice. She said silence and legal action would better protect the woman involved. According to Lydia, repeated interviews risk exposing the victim to more harm instead of helping her heal or seek accountability.
According to Lydia, public attention can sometimes blur the seriousness of what happened.

“Just go legal and quiet,” she said, stressing that the matter should be handled through the right channels.
Reactions as debate continues online
The viral video has continued to get strong reactions from different public figures. Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement, Geoffrey Mosiria, defended himself after he stood with the woman in the clip and demanded justice.
He was responding to criticism after supporting Marion Napei, who was embarrassed while under the influence of alcohol after her nude video leaked online.
Taking to his Facebook account on Monday, January 19, 2026, Mosiria said he was not surprised by the backlash. He explained that his stand was guided by the law and basic human dignity. He insisted that the woman deserved protection and justice regardless of public opinion.

Nurse Judy also commented on the viral video, saying the harassment itself was wrong. However, she said her concern was the woman’s reaction after the first video circulated.
On Saturday, January 17, 2026, she wrote, “HOWEVER… jamani tusidangayane,” explaining why she felt uncomfortable with what followed.
She said what annoyed her most was “the woman’s reaction after the first video”, insisting it could not be ignored. Nurse Judy pointed out that the situation did not end with one clip.
“There is even literally a PART 2 where she’s still there, smiling, giggling, calling him ‘babe’, and begging to stay with him after he had already humiliated her publicly,” she said.
As opinions continue to differ, Lydia Wanjiru maintains that the best step forward is silence and legal action. She said the issue should be handled with seriousness, dignity, and respect for the law rather than prolonged public debate.
