Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi has launched an appeal to help a four-year-old boy who was brutally abused by his own father in Nairobi.

In a statement posted on his official social media accounts on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Omondi appealed for help in tracing the boy whose plight was first brought to light by Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria.

Omondi asserted his commitment to leaving no one behind with his initiatives that continue to impact the lives of those in need, signalling his intention to take up the matter.

“We said this year we are leaving no one behind…Please help me find this boy🙏🙏🙏🙏,” Omondi stated.

Response to distress call that revealed worrying situation

Mosiria highlighted the young boy’s disturbing situation in a statement on January 25, 2026, revealing that he rescued the young boy after responding to a distress call.

Breaking down his painful experience, Mosiria noted that a courageous lady had to intervene to save the young boy from the violence that he was being subjected to by his own father.

“SO PAINFUL WATCHING THIS YOU WILL CRY!! Today, I responded to a distress call from South B following reports of a child who had been rescued by a courageous lady, together with concerned neighbours, from his own father who had been brutally abusing him,” Mosiria wrote.

Mosiria calls out cruelty, urges action

Mosiria described finding the child in a worrying situation, identifying the alleged perpetrator by name.

“I immediately went to the scene and found a four-year-old baby boy in a very bad condition. The child had swollen eyes and multiple injuries on his body, clear signs of severe abuse inflicted by his father. It was a heartbreaking and disturbing sight.

He called out the cruelty, adding that the boy had been taken to a nearby police station, where the matter was reported.

I rescued the child and took him to the police station, where the matter was formally reported. Thereafter, the child was rushed to Mbagathi Hospital for urgent medical treatment and later placed in a secure children’s home for his safety and protection.

Mosiria called upon the National Police Service to act with speed and arrest the alleged perpetrator so that he can face the full force of the law for gross violation of a child’s rights and subjecting an innocent boy to unimaginable cruelty.
