The social media personality lost her mother figure, Nancy Wanjiku Wanja, on January 14, 2026, after a long battle with bronchitis.

She was buried in a sombre event on Friday, January 23, 2026, with Wanja intervening when the programme was being interrupted and grabbing the microphone.
She later explained that her intervention was necessary to give people adequate time to mourn, having noted that the moderator was rushing through the programme.
