TikToker Vincent Kaluma has shared an encouraging update with his followers after his father, who had been bedridden for an extended period following a stroke, regained the ability to walk.

In a video posted to his TikTok account on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, Kaluma’s father is seen courageously taking several short steps.

Although a man stood closely behind him as a precaution to ensure his safety and stability, the elderly man successfully navigated numerous steps entirely on his own.

This milestone stands in stark contrast to his previous condition, where he remained confined to his bed, unable to even turn over without assistance.

Attributing the recovery to divine intervention, Kaluma expressed his firm conviction that his father’s healing was a direct result of their unwavering faith.

He shared with his audience that he is confident it is only a matter of time before his father achieves a full recovery, emphasising that the family will continue to place their absolute trust in God to perform further miracles.

“God is always faithful when you trust in Him. It is truly just a matter of keeping the faith,” he wrote in a poignant caption.

While affirming their commitment to remaining patient throughout the rehabilitation process, Kaluma admitted he was nearly speechless seeing his father, whose health once seemed so fragile, finally standing and walking on his own two feet.

He noted that he is incredibly impressed by this physical progress and confirmed plans to host a grand celebration in the future.

He intends to invite his fans and supporters to join the family in honouring the remarkable journey and celebrating what he describes as the “doing of the Lord.”

“We will be patient. Just look at how my dad is walking by himself now. Next time, I will call you all together so we can celebrate the Lord’s work. Thank you, God, for everything,” Kaluma shared.

TikToker’s fundraiser

In a similar development, Kaluma Boy dismissed claims that he received Ksh17 million from online supporters during a fundraiser held at his home in Othaya, clarifying that the actual amount raised was significantly lower.

Speaking during an interview with a local radio station on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, Kaluma explained that misinformation spread widely after the fundraiser, with some social media users exaggerating the total contributions.

He noted that the amount raised by TikTokers during the event stood at Ksh2.4 million, not the figures being circulated online.

“People spread many rumours after the fundraiser, most of them false, and some claimed that I had received Ksh17 million, but the total amount contributed was Ksh2.4 million. That is what TikTokers donated during the fundraiser at our home in Othaya,” he said.

The content creator revealed that the fundraiser came after he began sharing his personal story on TikTok, documenting the challenges he faced at home while caring for his ailing father.

Kaluma Boy recounted that he had just completed his KCSE when his father fell ill, placing him in a difficult period between finishing high school and preparing to join university.

During that time, he remained at home, helping with daily responsibilities while also caring for his father, who had suffered a stroke.

“I had just completed KCSE when my father fell ill, and it was during that period between finishing high school and going to university,” Kaluma Boy said.
