Arbantone rapper Kelvin Mugo, widely known as Tipsy Gee, has issued a public apology to socialite and entrepreneur Vera Sidikafollowing a wave of online speculation about a romantic relationship between the two.
In a video shared on his official Instagram account on Monday, April 6, 2026, Tipsy Gee disclosed that the rumours, which quickly spread across blogs and social media platforms, appeared to have stemmed from a misunderstood statement he made during a recent performance.
The artiste claims that the online narrative does not accurately reflect his on-stage statements.
He further clarified that the bloggers selectively edited the statement, taking it out of context in a way that fuelled speculation and boosted engagement.
“Mablogger nyi pia ni ma Nyang’anya!!! The narrative circulating online has been curated, so I felt it was important to clarify things for everyone,” Tipsy Gee said.
“Juzi as I was performing, nikiingia stage kuna statement ilikuwa inaendelea na I had to address it and in the process of addressing it nikatumia hiyo statement, nikasema ‘munadhani ni mimi ndio ule morio huu** Vera Sidika, but not me. The bloggers have gone ahead and taken that statement and have cut it to favour them in terms of views, wamecurate the whole issue.“
In response to the confusion and the attention it generated, Tipsy Gee expressed regret over any unintended consequences his words may have caused.
“To Vera Sidika, to your brand and to all your fans, I am very sorry for the misunderstanding and any harm caused through this whole issue,” Tipsy Gee apologised.

Tipsy Gee’s apology comes weeks after Vera sensationally shut down swirling rumours that she was romantically involved with the 23-year-old Arbantone rapper, branding the claims as nothing more than rumours and lies.
Taking to her official Instagram account on Thursday, March 19, 2026, the mother of two aimed at bloggers and rumour mongers who she claims manufactured a romance out of thin air following their high-profile appearance at the WRC Safari Rally in Naivasha.
Vera, who has remained single since her highly publicised breakup with singer Brown Mauzo in 2023, did not hold back, as she debunked the viral narrative.
“Funny how people spread rumors and lies then think they did something. Let me make this clear; I am NOT dating Tipsy. Someone started a rumour and everyone just ran with it. Let’s put it to rest,” she wrote.
