Motorists in Nairobi CBD will encounter brief traffic disruptions in parts of the city due to a traffic advisory issued by the Kenya Police Service.

The police stated the disruptions are prompted by two high-profile events, including President William Ruto’s planned speech at City Hall and the Africa Urban Forum at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

Due to a shared security perimeter surrounding the venues, a few CBD roads will be restricted until the activities are over.

The affected roads include the Supreme Court/Parliament Roundabout, portions of Wabera Street next to City Hall, and City Hall Way.

Drivers have been advised to utilise alternate routes, plan their trips in advance, and follow the instructions of traffic cops stationed on the scene.

The authorities have emphasised that all precautions have been taken to guarantee security and seamless event organization.
