Police in Nakuru West have arrested two suspected members of the Confirm gang, which authorities say has been linked to a string of robberies and violent crimes in the area.

In a statement on Wednesday, officers based at Rhonda Police Station said the two suspects were arrested during an intelligence-led operation after a tip-off.

The suspects were identified as John Omondi alias “Daddy” and Samuel Kamau alias “Pino”. Police said they were arrested while allegedly terrorising and robbing members of the public.

Police said preliminary investigations link the two to the Confirm gang, a group they said has been operating in Nakuru West.

The two were also named as suspects in other crimes, including murder and robbery with violence, the statement said, adding that investigations were ongoing.

Police said the two join a third suspect, James Nduati alias “Jemu”, who was already in custody.

The National Police Service said detectives were processing the suspects and preparing a case file ahead of their arraignment
