In Shinyalu Constituency, Kakamega County, police have detained Sylvester Muyumba and his wife following the discovery of marijuana worth thousands of shillings on their farm. The arrest came after villagers reported the presence of cannabis, leading to an investigation by local authorities.
The couple’s son, Michael Ingosi, who is accused of planting the marijuana, has escaped. Elizabeth Kigai, the police officer in charge at Khayega station, commended the community for their vigilance and urged them to report any illegal activities.
