Thugs raided All Saints Cianda High School, stealing valuables and killing Nicholas Angwenyi, a 45-year-old security guard, as he tried to raise the alarm. They hacked Angwenyi, leaving him with deep cuts on his back, and his body was discovered in a pool of blood.
Despite ongoing efforts, police have not yet made any arrests. The guards’ union and police are calling for justice, and authorities have moved Angwenyi’s body to the mortuary for an autopsy and further investigation.
In another incident, a 24-year-old woman stabbed and killed her 40-year-old mother, Lydia Moturi, during a fight at their home in Sengera. Lydia succumbed to chest injuries, while the daughter, also injured, remains in the hospital under police watch. The motive for the fight remains unclear.
Police discovered bloodstains and a bloody knife at the scene and moved Lydia’s body to the mortuary for an autopsy.
Meanwhile, in Tinga, police are investigating the death of David Ongera Makori, 56, who was found dead in his house. The cause of death is still unknown. Additionally, in Kayole, John Muranja, 24, died after a fight with two individuals. Although the cause of the fight is unclear, Muranja succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. Police have arrested the two suspects and are investigating the incident as murder.
Authorities are actively conducting autopsies and investigations to determine the causes of these deaths and to ensure justice. The incidents involve violent altercations, theft, and unexplained deaths, prompting community and union leaders to call for justice and safety for the victims and their families.
