Police in Changamwe, Mombasa County, are actively searching for Simon Mumbi, a man accused of fatally stabbing his 24-year-old daughter on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred in the Mcheleni area around 5:00 pm, stemming from a domestic dispute between Mumbi and his wife. When their daughter intervened to break up the altercation, Mumbi allegedly stabbed her multiple times in the stomach and chest.

Neighbors who responded to the scene rushed the injured woman to Portreitz Hospital. She was later transferred to Coast General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment. The woman’s body is currently being held at the Coast General Hospital mortuary.

Mumbi fled the scene following the incident, and police efforts to locate him are ongoing.
