Being in the public glare has its fair share.
Celebrities understand like actress Trisha Khalid.
Since bursting into the limelight, the TikTok star says she has been forced to contend with several rumors peddled about her, especially about her love life.
“One of the weirdest rumour I ever heard about me was that I was dating former Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho. To this day I have never understood how someone would just sit and come up with such untrue stories even without bothering to verify. That honestly shocked me,”
The 29-year-old says it’s not a problem to date Joho but the truth of the matter is that it never happened.
On her dating life, Trisha says she is enjoying her current relationship while maintaining that she doesn’t have a problem dating married men.
“My view on dating married men has never changed, I don’t see anything wrong with dating married men. I’m Muslim and according to our teachings it’s halal for a man to marry up to four wives and there is good reason for that, she adds.
Other than the rumour, Trisha whose real name is Fosi Mpole Hamis says she has had to battle hard to shake off the socialite tag branded on her since coming into the limelight.
“I honestly hate it when people call me a socialite because I’m not. I have never given anybody a reason to refer to me as a socialite. I work. I’m an actress, I won a spa and run a boutique as well. All I do is work, how then I’m a socialite. I’m not,”
Trisha became an internet sensation when she started uploading pictures and her aesthetic physique and curves became the center of attention.
She believes this was the genesis of her being branded a socialite.
Trisha made her entry into the mainstream showbiz when she was casted as Ruby on the Maisha Magic telenovela series Kovu. She currently portrays Trisha in the telenovela Becky aired on Citizen TV.
