Services on the Affordable Housing platform Boma Yangu will be unavailable from Friday, March 17th at 6pm to Monday, March 20th at 6am to allow for a migration exercise that is in line with the government’s digitization program.
In a statement issued on Friday, the State Department for Housing and Urban Development led by PS Charles Hinga said the migration will interlink Boma Yangu with the Government’s digital platform eCitizen.
“…going forward, our services will be accessed through the eCitizen platform… The new and improved system is designed to offer enhanced performance and reliability as well as a better user experience for all,” said the Ministry.
According to the Housing Department, the optimized platform will include a range of new features and additional services that will make it easier for members of the public to access information and interact with the Affordable Housing Program.
The new platform will feature updated projects showing the latest Affordable Housing projects and allow for a quick process to make savings/payments.
There will also be improved visibility of transactions on the portal with real-time statements for all platform users, better settlement of funds reducing reconciliation challenges as well as organised groups module serving bulk off-takers on the platform.
