Mkamburi Chigogo, a presenter at Radio47 said that she will really miss working with her former co-host in the morning show Emmanuel Mwashumbe.

Chigogo on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, said that she will miss working in the morning show after Alex Mwakideu who recently left Milele FM of Mediamax Networks took her position.

“Emmanuel Mwashumbe aki nitakumiss. This was one of the most unproblematic most supportive person I have ever worked with. Cheers to better and more,” she posted on Facebook.

Nairobi News has established that Chigogo will be hosting another show as from 10am to 1pm every day of the week on the same station.

She told her fans the show’s name is Mchikicho and she will not be having a co-host.

Three days ago, Mwakideu officially announced his departure from Milele FM.

He then announced that he will be embarking on a new chapter with Radio 47, a media outlet under Cape Media that also operates TV47.

A conspicuous poster emerged online, indicating that Mwakideu is set to co-host the morning breakfast show alongside Mwashumbe, known by the alias Mbappe.

The eagerly anticipated show is scheduled to debut on Monday, August 28, 2023, running from 6 am to 10 am.

This development comes just a week after Mwakideu addressed his listeners on his social media, reassuring them of his continued presence on the Milele FM’s morning show, which he shared with fellow host Jackie Nyamide, also known as Wilbroda.

Mwakideu took to his social media platforms to shed light on his situation, revealing that a misunderstanding with the management of Mediamax had occurred but had since been resolved.

His post conveyed gratitude for the support he had received from his listeners during this time of uncertainty.

“Thank you for all the phone calls and text messages, we had a small misunderstanding, which has been sorted. So we are good to go! Itambe Milele!” his post read in full.

In a statement from Radio47’s management, it was confirmed that Mwakideu’s move to the station was imminent.
