Singer and entrepreneur Akothee has finally revealed the reasons behind her separation from her husband, Denis Schweizer, widely recognized as ‘Omosh’, just two months after their lavish wedding.

During a live session on October 31, 2023, the mother of five addressed her relationship status, emphasizing her decision to end her marriage.

Akothee stated that the breakup occurred during their honeymoon in July 2023 when Omosh realized that there were aspects of their relationship he couldn’t tolerate.

“Omosh is not the first man in my life. So, from today henceforth, know that it is done and dusted with Omosh. I walked out of the relationship back in June. I normally walk out of a relationship when I am still in the relationship. When we were on honeymoon, I found out some things that I could not keep up with and then he asked me if I would dump him and I said no, ‘I love you’. When I was living in Switzerland in July 2023, at the airport he asked me, ‘will you leave me? I said no honey, I love you but for sure, I had already left,” Akothee explained.

The singer chose not to delve into specific details out of respect for Denis, expressing gratitude for his support during a challenging period in her life.

She highlighted the significant emotional support he provided when she was experiencing family disputes and feeling isolated.

Akothee emphasized that their relationship wasn’t meant to be, despite all the gestures of love and care, including the flight tickets he purchased for her.

“Denis Schweizer came into my life when I was going through so much. We came from far and he gave me what I needed when I needed him, he came in when we had big fights with my family and I was written off and nobody was talking to me. I needed a shoulder to lean on and by the time he said, ‘will you… I responded with a quick ‘Marry me, yes. I enjoyed everything with him including living with him. All the flight tickets he bought for me, I really do appreciate but then the relationship was not meant to be,” she said.

Addressing why her husband, Denis wore a Pakistan dress code during the wedding, Akothee explained that she had personally selected Omosh’s wedding attire to ensure it was unique and aligned with her vision for the ceremony.

She said she cherished the choice and intended to keep the wedding video as a lasting memory of the event.

“I chose his wedding dress code for him because I did not want him to wear a suit like anyone else. I loved him looking like that and that is why I will not delete my wedding video coz I did the wedding I have always wanted. I can still watch my wedding.”
