That day never came. In the aftermath of the fatal crash, Anai has been left to navigate grief alongside the practical burdens of raising her remaining children without the son she had poured so much into.
“Alex alitaka kusaidia mimi lakini Mungu alipeleka yeye,” she said, her voice heavy with grief. “Saidia watoto wengine wenye wamebaki.” (“Alex wanted to help me but God took him away. Help the other children who remain.”)
