Manchester United winger, Amad Diallo, could be set to miss the rest of this season, according to Mail Sport.

It is understood that Diallo suffered an ankle ligament injury in training and will be out for a long time.

The Ivorian is being assessed by doctors amid fears that his campaign might potentially be over.

This news will come as a big blow to United boss, Ruben Amorim, who already has several key injuries within the squad.

Kobbie Mainoo is out for a few weeks, while Toby Collyer and Manuel Ugarte are also expected to miss this weekend’s clash at Tottenham Hotspur.

Ahead of the match, Amorim said: “It was a good week until two days ago. We had some problems also. We don’t have players back.

“Maybe we have one or two issues, we are waiting. We have one player also who is sick, so we will see who is fit. But it was good to work with the team, to feel the players and try and improve performances.”
