At least 10 people are feared dead following a fatal road accident involving a Nissan matatu and a lorry at Arimi along Njoro Elburgon Road, Nakuru County.

The fatal accident occurred on Thursday night when the lorry hit the 14-seater passenger vehicle, resulting in several casualties.

Photos seen by Citizen Digital showed the matatu in a mangled wreck at the roadside.

Following the incident, passersby gathered at the scene to witness the aftermath and offer assistance to the injured. Police officers also arrived and secured the area.

Arimi area has long been considered a blackspot with drivers and motorists being urged to exercise vigilance while on the busy road.
