A 16-year-old boy has been apprehended on suspicion of fatally injuring his 55-year-old grandfather in the Kwangewa area of Machakos County.

Reports indicate that the boy, currently held at Ithanga Police Station, allegedly used a blunt object to attack and kill his grandfather. Additionally, he is accused of injuring his uncle with the same object and attempting to set their residence on fire.

Following the incident, the boy reportedly fled the scene naked but was later captured at Kwangewa shopping center and turned over to authorities. Kakuzi Sub-County Police Commander Thomas Mong’are confirmed the details, stating on Wednesday morning that the deceased’s body had been transferred to the mortuary at Ndithini Mission Hospital.
