Kenyan musician Becky Sangolo has done Kenya proud in the international singing competition The Voice in Poland.

Becky made it to the semi-final stage of the show after performing Lady Gaga’s song ‘Always Remember Us This Way’ .The singer was a part of the Kenyan duo Band Beca, which produced several hit songs before they disbanded

Becky Sangolo, one half of the female Kenyan duo Band Beca, has made it to the semi-final stage of Voice-Poland. Ads by Kenyan musician Becky Sangolo proceeds to the semi-finals of The Voice in Poland.

Band Beca was responsible for several hit songs, including ‘Brathe’ and ‘Over You’, before they disbanded.

Becky performs at The Voice Becky’s amazing performance during the quarterfinals saw her land a spot in the semi-finals.

She sang her own rendition of Lady Gaga’s song, ‘Always Remember Us This Way’ from the movie ‘A Star Is Born’.

“We are in the semi-finals, baby! A huge thanks to everyone one that made this happen,” she wrote on her Instagram. “Still full of emotions and gratitude,” she followed up after the captivating performance.

Her post raked in massive support from fans all over the world, including Kenyans, who were proud of her for flying Kenya’s flag high.

How Becky got into ‘The Voice’, Becky relocated from Nairobi to Poland with her husband, a mining engineer she met in Kenya while he was on safari.

This was how she came to the blind audition for the Voice in September this year.

She sang Demi Lovato’s hit song ‘Stone Cold’ and received a 5-chair turn from the impressed judges.

“Huyo Asaidiwe” Since then, she has faced off against formidable competitors before finally getting into the semi-finals. Her next stop is the finals, where she hopes to come out on top.

Ghetto Kids reach BGT finals In a similar story, the Ugandan dancing group Ghetto Kids got into the Britain Got Talent (BGT) finals after giving an impressive performance.

Ghetto Kids gave an African-inspired performance during their semi-finals that saw them land a spot in the finals. One of the boys kicked off the performance by sounding a horn.

The dancing kids wore colourful yellow outfits with African print patterns.

They kept switching routines throughout the performance, with the delighted BGT crowd cheering them on. Ultimately, their performance wowed the crowd, which voted them into the finals. “We are at the finals. God is great. Thank you, @bgt. This is huge for us, for Uganda and Africa! Thank you, our British fans, for voting,” the group wrote while appreciating their choreographers and family.
