Police in Kasarani Sub-County are now asking Kenyans who have ever fallen victim to three suspects who were nabbed in mid-November as they attempted to rob an Uber driver.

The three who were armed with a homemade pistol are in police custody as investigations into the matter go on.

Nairobi County police boss Mr Adamson Bungei, said that anyone who has ever fallen victim to the three suspects should share information within any station, and police will take action.

“Investigations are ongoing and if we have more victims then they should come out and report so that appropriate action is taken,” said Mr Bungei.

The trio, which included a woman, reportedly hired the taxi from Ruiru and told the driver that they were heading to Kilimani, but on arrival at Roysambu, the driver told the driver to head back to Githurai.

The driver narrated to the police at Kasarani Police Station that the robbers then produced a pistol and started threatening him.

This prompted him to speed towards Kasarani Police Station instead, hooting loudly and attracting the officers’ attention.

The three were arrested as they attempted to escape, and a homemade pistol was recovered from them.

Meanwhile, police in Nairobi are holding a man transporting donkey meat to Barma Market.

Police officers received a tip-off that the driver was ferrying the donkey meat to the market when they intercepted his car and found it therein.

It also emerged that no veterinary officers in the country had inspected the donkey meat.

The officers have now launched investigations to ascertain for how long the man still under custody has been ferrying and selling the donkey meat at the Burma market.

Nairobi and its surroundings are battered by heavy rains.
