Beyoncé’s mother, Tina Knowles was robbed of Ksh. 140 million in cash and jewelry when burglars broke into her Los Angeles home and took off with an entire safe.
The 69-year-old businesswoman and designer is currently accompanying her famous daughter around the world on her ‘Renaissance Tour’ and was not at her residence during the incident.
Los Angeles police told popular media outlet TMZ that they were continuing investigations, searching for videos and interviewing neighbors, but have not yet been able to learn the identity of those responsible and how they were able to enter the mansion and remove the vault.
In April, Tina called authorities after hearing a strange noise at the front of her property and a man was arrested and placed on psychiatric hold for throwing rocks and causing minor damage to her mailbox.
Tina has not offered any statements on this new robbery but has continued to share videos of her daughter’s performances in Toronto, Canada.
Just recently, ‘Snowfall’ star Damson Idris’ home was also burglarized in L.A. TMZ reported that the actor’s residence was discovered to have suffered major damages and was robbed of a safe.
Also, the burglars did $2,000 (Ksh. 280k) worth of damage to the 31-year-old’s property, the outlet reports.
Other top celebrities such as Tommy Lee, Ellen DeGeneres, Christina Milian, Bella Thorne, Rihanna, Jeff Bezos, Wiz Khalifa and Post Malone have also had their homes burglarized.
