A 38 -year- old boda boda rider has been killed over love affairs with a clergyman’s wife at Kumbatha village, Seka sub-location of Gwasii East location in Suba South constituency.

The deceased, identified as Wilson Onjiro Otieno, is reported to have gone to the cleric’s house on Sunday night to meet his (cleric) wife without realizing that the clergyman was in the house.

According to the area Chief Andrew Ombisa, the deceased is said to have been having a love affair with the clergyman’s wife for a long time. He is said to have been taking advantage of the cleric’s absence when he is out for spiritual functions in Sindo Township to spend the night with his wife in their matrimonial bed.

The Chief reports that the commotion between the man of God and the deceased started when the visibly drunk man entered the house without noticing the presence of the priest.

After a prolonged argument, the deceased went to his home and returned armed with crude weapons to attack the cleric. The clergyman made a distress call that alerted members of the public, who lynched the intruder.
