Bodies Of KU Students Who Died In Voi Accident To Be Moved To Nairobi

Bodies of Kenyatta University students who died in a road accident in Maungu area, Voi on Monday are set to be transferred to the Kenyatta University Teaching and Referral Hospital (KUTRH) mortuary.

Kenyatta University Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof. Paul Wainaina on Tuesday morning arrived at the Moi County Referral Hospital in Voi, where the bodies have been preserved. The VC visited the injured students receiving treatment at the hospital.

On Monday, a university bus collided with a truck in Maungu. The students and other staff members on board the bus were heading to Mombasa for an academic trip.

So far eleven people have been confirmed dead, while 21 suffered serious injuries, and four had minor injuries.
