Boniface MWangi and his wife Njeri are marking their 15th wedding anniversary this week.
The couple shared throwback pictures of how much they have grown since they meet.
“15 years ago on this day, we got married. It’s been a great ride, and if l was to go back again, and choose who to spend the rest of my life with, it would still be you.
My Njeri. Here is to another thrilling adventure. I love you to the moon and back Njeri ❤️❤️❤️”
Their 15 year journey impressed their fans who congratulated them.
The social activist paid glowing tribute to Njeri, noting that she is a supportive spouse.
And to cap off their marriage milestone, Boniface had put together an elaborate surprise for his wife who is currently in Mombasa on a work assignment.
The father of two intended to surprise her with dinner to mark their union but one major element made his plans backfire.
His flight was delayed for over an hour and a half.
Taking to Twitter, Boniface tagged Kenya Airways and Jambo Jet to express his anger.
“@KenyaAirways & @FlyJambojetare notorious for local flight delays. Yesterday my @FlyJambojet 5:30pm flight to Mombasa took off at 7:00pm. My wife is in Mombasa for work. ”
He continued his outrage
“l wanted to surprise her, and take her out for dinner. I got to her hotel past 9pm. She was already in bed.”
Thankfully some major fans came through for him and helped pull off a surprise anyway.
He happily thanked them in a cute note following the disaster.
He hide behind a door as she walked in to shouts of surprise and bouquet of flowers. Njeri was so happy as Boniface serendaded her.
“Thank you 🙏🏽 for all the good wishes. I flew to Mombasa to surprise my wife for our anniversary. Thank you @Calebkibiwott of @PrideInnParadis for helping me pull it off, and all the hotel staff that played along. They literally begged her to upgrade for free, and move rooms.”
The peoples watchman as he is referred to urged airlines to observe time as this affects passengers plans,
“New day, another delayed flight. This time it’s @SkywardExpress MSA-NRB. I think something needs to be done to ensure our airlines run on time. Time is a finite resource, and should be guarded jealously. Managers who run flights late should be fired! @FlyJambojet @KenyaAirways”
Happy Anniversary.
