A member of the late Bosco Kebati’s first family has come forward to share their side of the story, days after content creator Lyndah Kebati’s emotional outburst at her father’s burial in Kisi went viral and divided opinion online.
Lyndah Kebati’s sharp words to first family
During the burial, Lyndah stunned mourners by openly confronting members of the first family, telling them she had no intention of maintaining any relationship with them now that her father had been laid to rest.
“I can’t pretend that I love you. I will never forgive you, and we will never be family again. Now that my father has been laid to rest, I want nothing to do with you,” she said.
She went further, adding that her father’s death had, in her words, freed her from any obligation to the homestead or those within it.
When did Bosco allegedly meet his second wife?
A nephew of the late Bosco Kebati has since broken his silence, offering a detailed account of what he believes led to the bitter rift between the two families.
Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the tension traces back to when Bosco Kebati was employed at Kenya Power, where he held a well-paying position and had accumulated considerable wealth, including multiple parcels of land and substantial savings.
“He met his second wife who noted that Bosco had a lot of money both in cash and bank,” the nephew said.
Bosco’s second wife earns trusts from him
He alleged that the second wife gradually gained Bosco’s trust to a point where she and her family reportedly transferred assets into their own names, leaving the first family’s sons in a difficult financial position back home.
“All this bitterness is as a result that they are not accepted into the family for what they did, which actually led to Mzee becoming sick,” he said, adding that despite everything, the children of the first family had chosen to respect Lyndah as their stepsister.
A relative also reportedly leaked the eulogy to show that the second family’s names had been included in the burial programme, pushing back against claims that they had been sidelined.
