Vera Sidika, the renowned socialite, has shed light on why the father of her children, Brown Mauzo, missed their firstborn daughter’s birthday.
The socialite confirmed she did extend an invitation to Brown Mauzo for the birthday celebration.
She said she had expressed her hope that her baby daddy, who is a prominent singer, would take the opportunity to spend quality time with their daughter.
However, her expectations were met with disappointment as he failed to attend the event.
In her Instagram stories, Vera emphasized the significance of a father-daughter bond and the importance of having such moments.
She acknowledged the significance of a father’s presence in his daughter’s life but noted that she cannot compel him to participate.
Addressing her followers, she sought to clarify the situation, stating:
“I invited him to his daughter’s bday just so it could be memorable for her special day. I stay huko, they have their moments. He did not want to show up and said it wouldn’t be a good idea to be at her birthday party.”
She continued, “How is any of that my fault??? Am I to carry him with a crane, force him to attend his daughter’s bday? Hell no.”
Vera further vented her frustration, revealing how Brown Mauzo’s revelation of their second child’s face, Ice Brown, disrupted her plans for an extravagant reveal party.
Despite the disruption, she extended an invitation for him to join the birthday celebration, emphasizing her commitment to her child’s happiness.
Vera expressed her dedication to her child’s well-being and happiness.
She also acknowledged the disruptions to her plans and the misconceptions propagated by some Kenyans regarding her role in the situation.
“I need y’all to understand as much as face reveal party plans that I had paid for were ruined days before Asia’s bday. I was still the biggest person to even invite him to Asia’s birthday. Most people wouldn’t. All I care about is my baby’s happiness. I am not a selfish mother. But you can’t force a person to reason. A Bday is not an ordinary day it’s a special day to celebrate your child. I would never miss it for the world. I rushed back from America so I couldn’t miss my daughter’s bday. But not everyone sees the importance.”
In her final statement, she said, “I was honestly minding my business but so many comments acting like I am the bad guy.”
Vera Sidika and Brown Mauzo allegedly broke up in September. The two have two children together.
