Bundesliga: Leverkusen star, Xhaka lauds Nigerian duo after title success

Bayer Leverkusen star, Granit Xhaka praised Nigerian duo, Victor Boniface and Nathan Tella, for their positive contribution to the team’s title success.

Xabi Alonso’s side claimed their first-ever Bundesliga title on Sunday following a comprehensive 5-0 drubbing of Werder Bremen.

Boniface, whose season was blighted by an adductor injury, has scored 11 goals in 18 league appearances for Die Werkself this season.

Tella on the other hand has contributed five goals.

“For Boni and Nathan, they’re very good, very positive, always with a smile on their faces. With them, we have a lot of quality in the team, on and off the pitch, and it’s so nice to be a part of them and the team,” Xhaka was quoted by Soccernet.

Die Werkself will shift their attention to Thursday’s UEFA Europa League quarter-final clash with West Ham United.
