A Bungoma family is deep in grief after their 15-year-old son was discovered dead inside his bedroom, days after he was sent home from school over unpaid fees.
Kevin Wabwire, a Grade 7 pupil at Bungoma Central Baptist School, was found lifeless in the family home at Mandizini Estate, Township Ward, on Tuesday, September 15.
Neighbours who spotted the body through a window raised the alarm, prompting local police to rush to the scene and secure the area.
DCI Opens Investigation Into Kevin’s Death
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) in Bungoma took charge of the scene, with detectives completing initial forensic dusting before Kevin’s body was transported to Bungoma County Referral Hospital mortuary for preservation and a post-mortem examination.
