Police in Bungoma have detained a self-proclaimed preacher found in possession of human body parts in his vehicle. According to officers from Webuye East, car wash attendants in Masikhu market discovered the body parts hidden in a carton in the suspect’s car.
The suspect, identified as Levis Simiyu, allegedly serves as a pastor at a local church in Ndivisi. An attendant cleaning the vehicle’s boot noticed a human leg protruding from the carton, partially burnt and resting atop other body parts.
“The young man abandoned his duties and was ready to retire early, until the petrol station manager inspected the eerie box,” police reported.
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) confirmed that police were alerted and quickly arrived at the scene after being informed by the station manager. The body parts have been transferred to Webuye Hospital morgue for further investigation.
